Woodville Palace Hotel is a heritage hotel in Shimla with a history dating back to 1866. Woodville was constructed by Sir William Mansfield, Commander in Chief of the imperial army and then reconstructed in 1938 by the Rana of Jubbal. The Palace was converted into a hotel in 1977 and presents excellent accommodation in Shimla. Woodville Hotel offers gracious living of a bygone era, gone, but not forgotten. Besides the elegant Royal Suite, there are 25 other large bedrooms done up in traditional style of the 30's with large attached bathrooms having showers and long baths. There is also a Royal Cottage in the estate having two Luxurious Suites.
Woodville offers nature lovers, the private forest in the estate, frequented by a variety of birds, . Finally, there are the sprawling gardens and lawns for relaxation which are rivaled by none of Shimla.
